Members and Supporters of the Polish Chemical Society,

It is with great joy and honor that we welcome you to the 68th Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society, which this year is taking place in hospitable Bydgoszcz – a city with a rich academic tradition and a dynamically developing scientific community.

For decades, the Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society has been one of the most important events in the calendar of Polish chemistry. It provides a meeting place for outstanding researchers, young scientists, PhD candidates and students, as well as representatives of industry and institutions collaborating with science. The shared exchange of experiences, presentation of the latest research achievements, and discussions on the directions of development in modern chemistry form the foundation for progress that extends far beyond the walls of the laboratory.
This year's 68th Congress is an opportunity to reflect on the role of chemistry in the face of the global challenges of the 21st century – energy transformation, sustainable development, environmental protection, new materials and innovative medical technologies.

One of the sessions at this year's Congress will be devoted to metabolomics and will be organized under the patronage of the Polish Metabolomics Society. Metabolomics and chemistry are closely linked, as metabolomics research relies heavily on analytical chemistry methods and the analysis of complex mixtures of chemical compounds.

Chemistry remains a key science, uniting disciplines and inspiring solutions that have a real impact on the quality of life in society. We believe that the scientific program of the Congress—including plenary lectures, thematic sessions, oral presentations, and poster presentations—will create a space for creative debate, fostering collaboration, and initiating new research projects. We hope for the strong participation of young researchers whose energy, courage, and fresh perspective will shape the future of Polish chemistry.

We wish you inspiring deliberations, fruitful discussions, new scientific contacts, and the satisfaction of participating in this unique meeting of the chemical community.
