We have prepared a number of attractions for the participants of the 68th Congress of the Polish Chemical Society and their accompanying persons to diversify the scientific discussions.

Banquet

We invite all participants and accompanying persons to the banquet, which will take place on September 16, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. at the Bydgoszcz Trade Fair and Exhibition Center at 187 Gdańska Street.

CONCERTS

The music concerts will take place in the evening of September 15, 2026 in the building of the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz at Prof. Godziszewskiego Street.

Emilia Hamerlik's concert

Emilia Hamerlik comes from Bielawa in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. In 2020, she graduated with distinction from the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz with two majors: jazz vocal performance in the class of Dr. hab. Joanna Żółkoś-Zagdańska, a professor at the university (jazz singing), and conducting jazz and pop music bands in the class of Dr. Michał Szlempo (jazz conducting). She has won numerous awards in both national and international competitions, including second place at the 6th Łucja Prus Song Festival "W białych zapalach listy" (In the yellow flames of leaves), the Grand Prix at the 7th National Song Festival "Hoffer Superhit Działdowo," and third place in the "Pamiętajmy o Osieckiej" (Let's remember Osiecka) Song Contest. She is a multiple scholarship recipient of the "zDolny Śląsk" program and the Orlen Foundation.

Concert of the Energy Chamber Orchestra

Energy Chamber Orchestra is a string ensemble that creates new spaces for experiencing music through creative, interactive concerts.

The ensemble is made up of strong individuals – together, they achieve an effect greater than the sum of their parts. The ensemble's goal is to influence the energy of music, share it, and express emotions through art. This concert will not be "just a performance," but a shared journey in which the audience co-creates a unique interpretation.

"I believe that the boundaries between stage and audience can blur, and music can become a space for dialogue, energy, and integration. I invite you to co-create this special moment – ​​it will be a unique experience created together – one-of-a-kind and unrepeatable in its form. See for yourself!" invites conductor Paweł Zalejski.

On September 17, 2026, after the meeting, you can take advantage of the option of a guided city tour or a trip to the Exploseum.

EXPLOSEUM

The Exploseum is a unique industrial complex from World War II. It was part of one of the largest armaments factories of the Third Reich, where nitroglycerin was produced. Visitors traverse nearly 2 km of multi-level tunnels, uncovering the history of the DAG Bromberg factory, the arms industry, and slave labor. The empty interiors of seven factory buildings house museum exhibitions showcasing authentic technologies and fascinating multimedia that bring the history of the plant to life.

Tours are conducted in groups of 30, arriving at 15-minute intervals. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Please select the one optimal group option.

BYDGOSZCZ CITY TOUR

Bydgoszcz – a city located at the confluence of the Brda and Vistula Rivers, one of the two capitals of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. A thriving urban center with over 320,000 inhabitants, it received city rights in 1346 from Casimir the Great. A major center of industry, trade, and logistics, it is also a major road, rail, and shipping hub. The city is also a significant academic center. It is home to universities such as the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology, Kazimierz Wielki University, the Nicolaus Copernicus University Medical College, the Academy of Music, and numerous private universities.

The center of Bydgoszcz boasts an exceptionally interesting historical architecture, combining many styles and eras. From Gothic churches and Art Nouveau tenement houses to modern architectural gems. The tour will last approximately two hours and will take in the most important sites of historic Bydgoszcz, such as Mill Island, the Old Market Square, Bydgoszcz Cathedral, the Church of the Poor Clares, the Granaries, the Main Post Office, and the Deluge Fountain. During the tour, we will learn not only about the history of the city on the Brda River but also about its contemporary face.

Tours depart from Rondo Jagiellonów at the Collegium Medicum of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Bydgoszcz, at 4:15 PM, in three groups of up to 50 people. Please choose one of the groups.
